Dulwich College (Singapore) receives World Wide Fund for Nature Award

Dulwich College (Singapore) was awarded the Silver Eco Schools Award from the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) this month for the work the school has done in support of the environment. WWF, one of the world’s most influential conservation organisations, explained that out of the 80 eco schools in Singapore, Dulwich is one of the very few who have been awarded the silver award.

“It is wonderful to see Dulwich College (Singapore) students and staff, with the support of our parents, recognised by WWF for the actions they have taken in support of the environment. Their initiatives reflect the growing importance that sustainability plays within the Dulwich College International network of over 8,000 students. We are incredibly proud of them and all our students, who continue to lead by example and demonstrate that both individual and collective action really does matter in shaping a more environmentally responsible future for us all.” - Ross Allan, Group Director of Business Administration and Group Sustainability Leader.

Carbon awareness will also be incorporated into part of the curriculum at Dulwich College (Singapore), and students can look forward to environmental co-curricular activities and further sustainability initiatives.

“We believe in creating a sustainable and low carbon global community. This initiative will filter down through to the next generation and help in the education and promotion of sustainable initiatives.” Headmaster Nick Magnus shared.
