Presenting action research using academic posters

Professional Learning Communities and individual members of staff from across the Dulwich College International network have been creating academic posters to present their action research. They have used this format to capture and share their work for a number of reasons. Academic posters are a visual presentation of academic research that invites further conversation. The purpose of a poster is to present a piece of work that colleagues can easily view and to stimulate an exchange of ideas. The academic poster is a more accessible, less daunting and less time consuming mode of presenting a piece of research than a formal academic paper. Using academic posters allowed members of staff who were new to academic research to summarise and present their findings efficiently and spend more time on their own learning.
