Dulwich College Beijing Chamber Choir UK Tour

The Dulwich College Beijing Chamber Choir closed a very busy academic year with a pre-tour recital on the final night of term. The choir then packed their bags and headed off to London for a ten-day, six-performance whistle-stop tour of the South of England. The tour was organised and run by Mr Paul West and Miss Nina Haynes to give the students the opportunity to sing in places very different to the modern concert halls and theatres (and many hotel ballrooms!) they have experienced in Beijing.

The tour was a fantastic experience for the students involved with some incredible highlights; they preformed and joined the choir rehearsals at Dulwich College in London, filled a capsule in the London Eye with song, performed a recital at Christchurch Cathedral in Oxford, impressed students and parents at The Leys, Cambridge with an evening concert, sang the Sunday morning service to a huge congregation at Wesley Chapel in London, sang a spectacular evensong at Exeter Cathedral, performed a song from Les Miserables with the team at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London and ended the tour with a superb recital in the St Paul’s Church in Covent Garden.

With special thanks to Mr Paul West, Director of Music at Dulwich College Beijing.
