Music Ambassadors Conference

The Dulwich College International Music Ambassadors Conference is a unique student-led learning opportunity. The conference provides a platform for students from across the Dulwich College family to come together and learn from one another. This year, the Music Ambassadors Conference will take place at Dulwich International High School Zhuhai from 12 to 14 September. Our Music Ambassadors are students dedicated to ensuring that music takes a prominent place in the College environment and work together to support the numerous music events that take place across our campuses. The conference offers an opportunity for students to focus on team building and learn how best they can support one another in their roles. This year, our students will hear from Key Note speaker, Warren Lee. Lee is a famed prodigy originally from Hong Kong. Since his début with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of six, Lee has embraced an all-encompassing career in music. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and Yale School of Music, Lee has had the opportunity to collaborate with international artists and leading orchestras throughout Asia. Lee is an internationally recognised composer; his choral works are published in Germany and the United States and his recent work, House Rules, won the 2nd prize at the 2013 Gianni Bergamo Classic Music Award in Switzerland. An MBA graduate from HKUST, Lee extends his reach to the field of business academia as an occasional business case writer and guest speaker at the HKUST Business School. Later this year, Lee is due to publish a series of sight-reading techniques, Sight-Reading Plus, adding to his expanding catalogue that bridges various genres. In addition, four schools from Hong Kong will join the Music Ambassadors Conference in Zhuhai this year, with the view to offering a similar programme within their schools.
