New Senior School and Performing Arts Centre opens in Singapore

Double congratulations to Dulwich College in Singapore who celebrated the official opening of their new Senior School and Performing Arts Centre, as well as their second Founder’s Day in March 2017.

Students, parents, teachers and staff enjoyed an unforgettable event with over 800 people in the new theatre for a concert with a cross-college choir of 300+ students. There were speeches from Christian Guertler, the CEO of Dulwich College International, Scott Wightman, the British High Commissioner to Singapore and Nick Magnus, the Headmaster of Dulwich College (Singapore).

Dulwich College (Singapore) Senior School students were so proud to finally open their state-of-the-art facilities to their ever-growing college community.  The brand new senior school has science labs, a two story library, design and technology rooms and a multi-purpose sports facility with a gym, dance studio and rooftop tennis courts, as well as our professional Performing Arts Centre.

The festivities continued the following day with our second ever Founder’s Day.

The day began with a traditional Chinese Drum Band on stage to open the proceedings.  A second acoustic stage set the scene for “Boutiques at the Senior School Quad”; a variety of exclusive vendors selling everything from jewelry and school shoes to organic chocolate and local Singaporean artwork.

The whole extravaganza culminated in a dazzling fireworks display across the campus showcasing the full extent of the fully opened facilities.  It was a wonderful two days of celebrations bringing our Dulwich Community ever closer.
