Outstanding performance at the World Scholar’s Cup 2016

Congratulations to the students from Dulwich International High School Zhuhai who participated in the World Scholar’s Cup for their excellent performance in the competition.

The World Scholar’s Cup is a celebration of learning that challenges students to work together across a range of academic disciplines and encourages students to consider global issues. Students study a series of topics throughout the academic year and apply their knowledge in the competition. In June, the Global Round brought together 3,500 students from 45 countries in debate, writing and team competitions and this year 13 students from Dulwich International High School Zhuhai travelled to Bangkok to participate.

The team from Dulwich International High School Zhuhai earned an impressive eight silver medals and a gold medal. The single most notable performance came from the new Head Girl, June H, who was awarded five medals and qualified for the Tournament of Champions at Yale University.

Dulwich International High School Zhuhai is partnered with the Yung Wing school in Zhuhai, named after the very first Chinese scholar to graduate from Yale University in 1854. We wish June all the best for the World Scholar’s Cup Tournament of Champions in November.
