Suzhou, December 5, 2013: Today, Suzanne Burden, British actress and Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) graduate came to Dulwich College High School Programme: Suzhou (DPSZ) to commence workshops with leading up to the Shakespeare Festival. Suzanne worked with DPSZ, DPZH and DCSZ students as well as students from Suzhou High School. For many students it was the first time they had ventured on to the stage. The first Dulwich international Shakespeare Festival saw students from Dulwich College Suzhou, Shanghai and Zhuhai as well as invited local schools take part in three days of performances across three venues in Shanghai and Suzhou. Plays being performed include Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet and As You Like It. Suzanne Burden short bio: Suzanne has appeared on television and films since the early 1980s. Her best known television work is probably as Esther Summerson in Bleak House (1985). She played Ms Matthews in the series Poirot episode The Third Floor Flat. She played lead roles in You, Me and It (1993), The Vet (1995–96) and the children's series Microsoap (1998-2000) and Sarah in Fear, Stress and Anger (2007). Suzanne has appeared on stage at the Chichester Festival Theatre, in the 2006 season she played Lydia Cruttwell in Terence Rattigan's In Praise of Love and the following year was Maria in Twelfth Night and Lady Macduff in Macbeth.  More recently, she played Mrs Alving in Ibsen's Ghosts at the Arcola Theatre, London.
