Shanghai to Singapore

Singapore, September 24, 2013: Joanne Woodward appointed Head of Early Years (DUCKS) for Dulwich College (Singapore) Dulwich College (Singapore) Headmaster,  Nick Magnus,  has announced that Ms. Joanne Woodward has been appointed as the inaugural Head of Early Years for Dulwich College in Singapore. "We are delighted that her wealth of experience and knowledge will help Singapore in building a strong Early Years from the outset. We are extremely happy that she is taking on this new challenge and continuing her strong career within the Dulwich family.", Mr Magnus said. Joanne has been with Dulwich College Shanghai for 9 years and for the last 8 has led the development of DUCKS into one of the leading Early Years schools in China. Under her leadership she has overseen significant enrolment growth. DUCKS in Shanghai is widely regarded as at the cutting edge of early years teaching and has been at the forefront of modern educational techniques with a firm emphasis on child-centred learning. Most recently she has overseen the implementation of the dual-language approach in English and Chinese and will bring her considerable experience of this approach to Singapore. In the most recent CIS accreditation, she was commended for the way she ensured that the school’s Philosophy and Objectives were put into practice throughout DUCKS. ENDS
