- Oscar nominated director Gu Chang Wei visits Dulwich College Beijing
Dulwich College Beijing was honoured to welcome Oscar nominated director Gu Chang Wei to the College on 25 November. Mr Gu was invited to the College for the screening of two films produced by Year 8 students: Father and Son and The Man with the Sugar Candy. The young filmmakers received praise from Mr Gu as well as their peers. After the screening, the director gave the students some tips on how to make their productions look more professional, and recommended a few useful moviemaking apps. Mr Gu showed students some of his own short movies, which they watched with great interest, and was happy to answer their questions. Mr Gu’s visit to the College has not only boosted student interest in film making but has built excitement for the upcoming Dulwich Movie Festival.
