Micro-Power Generation

Micro-Power Generation

Project Manager: Matthew Grace

Students will be encouraged to be innovators by using what they learn about solar energy harnessing to create new ideas in the field of sustainable energy technologies. By creating this permanent structure which will be constantly collecting information, students will be able to raise ideas about micro-power generation at any time, encouraging them to make improvements when possible. This project will prepare students for life at and beyond university. As students continually interact with the set-up, they will have unique opportunities to develop skills that are important in a globalised world. Students will be able to teach others, within and outside of the Dulwich group, about the use of renewable energy sources. Initially, students will teach Star City students how to use solar power in their hydroponics system, before then working with energy deprived local communities to set up sponsored solar power solutions.
