PE21: Reflection Centred Learning

PE21: Reflection Centred Learning

Project Manager: Jessica Richards

The objective and vision of this project is to improve the learning quality and experience of our students within Physical Education lessons, CCAs and teaching practice, allowing students to become self-analytical critical thinkers in Physical Education (P.E). Using handheld, portable or drone technology to film our students would redefine how we can feedback to our students, and how they themselves can reflect on their practice. Students will to video, store, submit and, most importantly, reflect back on their performance week by week, unit by unit, or even year by year. Through increased and improved footage shot during lessons, students will be able to access their performances outside of lessons, allowing them to analyse individual technique progress, as well as improvements and application of team strategy within game play. Students will also gain a better perspective of movement (tactically) through a different angle of footage provided by drones. This project will redefine many aspects of Physical Education, including: lesson content and teaching opportunities, analysis of team performance during CCAs, as well as the development of e-reporting.
