A Summer Letter from the Worldwise Alumni Advisory Board
As the 2024/25 school year wraps up, we reflect on a time filled with achievements, growth, and fulfillment. This year, the Class of 2025 celebrated offers from their dream universities, bringing their high school chapter to a close and stepping confidently into an exciting new chapter. While graduation may be a milestone, it's also a new beginning—and our connection as a community continues to grow.
At this vibrant moment of summer, the Worldwise Alumni Advisory Board (WAAB) has a few updates and reflections to share with our school family. Let's take a look!
By Alumni, For Alumni
Worldwise Alumni Advisory Board (WAAB) is a group of EiM alumni leaders, acts as the strategic backbone of WAN, providing governance, resources, and guidance to strengthen global alumni initiatives and leadership.
Its responsibilities include:
- Strategic Oversight: Monitor and guide the strategic direction of Worldwise Alumni Network (WAN), ensuring alignment with long-term goals and efficiency in resource allocation.
- Leadership Development: Identify and train regional chapter leads and school representatives, offering tools and resources to enhance their effectiveness.
- Evaluation and Support: Regularly assess the impact of WAN's activities and provide support where necessary.
OA-IOA Stateside Reunion
In June, Old Alleynians (OAs) – graduates from Dulwich College in London—and International Old Alleynians (IOAs) – graduates from Dulwich College International came together for a reunion event that brought alumni together across both the East and West Coasts of the United States. Fiona Angel, Acting Master of Dulwich College; Matt Jarrett, Director of Development; and Fran Cooke, Head of Lower School, attended the event and each shared meaningful insight. They spoke about the College's latest developments, the strength of the alumni community, and the importance of fostering lifelong connections that begin during a student's time at Dulwich.
Grace Chan, a DCB Class of 2013 graduate, U.S. Leader of the Worldwise Alumni Advisory Board (WAAB), was also invited to join the Old Alleynian (OA) events. Reflecting on her experience, she shared:
Grace also shared her excitement that the WAN USA Chapter Leads are actively collaborating to plan Welcome to WAN events across three major U.S. cities—New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles—scheduled for September and October 2025.

Evolving Our Approach to Alumni Engagement
To better bring our 'By Alumni, For Alumni' ethos to life and provide more tangible, personalised support to our alumni community, we are transitioning to a more dynamic model of alumni engagement starting this summer. This shift comes after thoughtful consideration and valuable feedback from our alumni. As part of this change, alumni will no longer need to use the WAN online platform, which was officially closed at the end of June.
The new Alumni Engagement approach will be led by school-based Alumni Engagement Officers and the Worldwise Alumni Advisory Board (WAAB). Together, these dedicated teams will strengthen connections, improve responsiveness, and foster a deeper sense of belonging across our global alumni network.
The Worldwise Alumni Advisory Board (WAAB) collaborates closely with School Alumni Engagement Officers, University and Careers Counselors to cultivate a vibrant, interconnected EiM alumni community. Together, we foster a socially dynamic, professionally enriching network that bridges generations, cultures, and industries. By leveraging shared values, we create opportunities for mentorship, knowledge exchange, and lifelong connections. Our commitment to inclusiveness and global perspectives ensures every voice is heard and valued, empowering alumni to thrive in an evolving world. Through strategic partnerships and purposeful engagement, we build a unified alumni family—one that celebrates diversity, drives collective growth, and strengthens the lifelong connections.
As summer approaches, we wish all our students the very best as they embark on the next chapter of their educational journey. Remember to stay connected with your school's dedicated Alumni Engagement Officers, who are here to support and guide you beyond graduation. We also encourage you to reach out to the Worldwise Alumni Advisory Board (WAAB) leaders in your region to stay involved, build meaningful connections, and continue being part of our thriving global alumni community.
