Announcing new Group Director of Education Richard Henry

EiM is pleased to announce that Richard Henry has been appointed as the new Group Director of Education. He will be joining the Singapore headquarters at the beginning of the Academic Year 2025/26.

With over two decades of leadership experience in education, Richard brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for holistic education and academic excellence. Richard has been leading Moreton Bay College and Moreton Bay Boys College as CEO & Executive Principal for the past 3 and a half years. His recent achievements at the Colleges include implementing a strategic plan to deliver global best practices in education and pastoral care; and embedding a wellbeing framework for student learning, character, care and teamwork.

He began his career as a teacher in both state and private education systems in Australia before moving overseas, where he held several pivotal roles.

In 2011, Richard joined the International Baccalaureate (IB) as Head of School Services, where he rose to become Director of Global School Services. His work there spanned international education development and school support. Following his tenure at IB, Richard established his own consultancy business before joining GEMS World Academy in 2017 as Head of School. His role expanded to Regional Director, overseeing schools across Singapore, Malaysia, and India.

Richard holds a bachelor's degree in science from Griffith University and a Master of Learning Management from Central Queensland University. His vast experience and visionary approach to education will undoubtedly strengthen our educational strategies and ensure continued success for our schools and communities.
