Carmen de Z.
DCB, Oxford University

"Over the past two years I've learnt that applying to university is like any other rollercoaster ride: intense but exhilarating. Initiating and determining your future pathway is a time that is universally daunting- but one that you must not lose hope in. Being accepted to Oxford Law feels like one step closer to achieving a lifelong dream, not just in outcome but in the resilience, hard work and the relentless hope that has come to define it. I'm proud of this achievement and all the people that have contributed to it. I've been truly touched by all the overwhelming support and love I've received in DCB. And I'm extremely grateful for it."

Sophie S. DCB,
Brown University

"I learned a lot more about myself. For me, those few people who truly believe in you and take the extra effort to support you make the experience of high school special."

Kevin K. DCSPD,
Stanford University

"My biggest takeaway from applying to university is the importance of staying true to the process. It's about reflecting on your passions, articulating your aspirations, and then giving your all to every commitment you make. Going to Stanford is a lifelong dream turning into reality and it would not be possible without the special few teachers at Dulwich Pudong who have always given me their full, unwavering belief, motivating me to aim for the stars."

Selena X. DCSZ,
New York University

"While my application process was undoubtedly stressful, I'm incredibly grateful for my school's university counselling department! Not only did they provide expert guidance at every step, but they also dedicated countless hours of support. As deadlines approached, I recall popping into my counsellor's office weekly and even taking late-night calls in the final days to refine my application. Looking back, I know my journey and results wouldn't have been possible without them!"

Claire Z. DHHQ,
Vanderbilt University

"I'm fortunate to have had the opportunity to reflect on and better understand myself during the brainstorming process of my application essays. I'm grateful for the guidance I received from the university counselor. In fact, compared to academic achievements, I believe it's more important to spend time understanding who you are and figuring out what you truly enjoy. Regular reflection and adjustments help keep your heart more stable and peaceful! When you make mistakes, learn to look forward, as living in the present is always a good thing."

Kevin Y.
DHSZ, Hong Kong University and Imperial College London

"I want to express gratitude for my counsellor's guidance in writing my personal statement and managing application portals. I want to say to lower school students that - Trust yourself and stay consistent with your studies. Revising regularly and believing in the process are key."

Jack K. DCSPX,
Pratt Institute

"I am excited to move to the U.S. to study art at one of the top art schools. I've been accepted into Pratt Institute, ranked #6 in the world by QS in art, and SCA, which also offered me a scholarship. While I haven't decided which school to attend yet, I'm eager to immerse myself in the endless inspiration and creative energy they offer."
