University and Career Counselling Excellence

These outcomes reflect the strength of the Dulwich College International University and Career Counselling (UCC) framework, guided by the EiM UCC Model, which combines global standards with locally responsive delivery across schools.

Student agency sits at the heart of our approach, with student voice embedded throughout the university application journey. Experienced counsellors provide personalised guidance that helps students identify their strengths, passions, and ambitions, and achieve their 'reach' goals. A structured, milestone-based programme engages students early and ensures steady progress through key application stages, alongside career exploration and future-focused guidance beyond university. This is supported by a holistic 'Family + Teachers + Alumni + External Resources' model, which fosters strong collaboration and sustained engagement across the wider community.

Our students are also supported by rom a powerful global network and a strong reputation with universities worldwide. Our UCC teams are highly qualified and experienced, with the vast majority holding advanced credentials and deep expertise in both school counselling and university admissions. Collaboration across the network enables counsellors to share insights, track global trends, and refine practice, strengthened further through annual conferences and engagement with universities. To further enhance provision, an International University Advisory Board and three Regional UCC Directors oversee strategy, people, and quality—ensuring students benefit from globally informed, forward-looking counselling aligned with evolving international admissions landscapes.

EiM Annual UCC Conference
(May 2026)

Looking ahead, the EiM Annual University and Career Counselling Conference will take place in May at Dulwich College Beijing, bringing together UCC leaders from across the global network alongside representatives from leading universities including Vanderbilt University, the University of Chicago and Barnard College, as well as members of the International University Advisory Board.
